Horse Hair Fabric by the Yard
Horse Hair Fabric is a stiff, open-weave polyester fabric used to add structure, support, and shape to corsets, bridal gowns, and formal garments. Available in multiple weights ranging from 55 GSM to 175 GSM, each weight is suited to a different level of structure — from soft, skin-friendly corset linings to ultra-stiff bridal underpinnings.
Weight Guide
-
55 GSM (Skin, Ivory/White, Snow White): Softest and lightest — borderline heavy organza. Can hold shape if manipulated but won't weigh down a garment. Great for bridal gowns and comfortable corset options.
-
75 GSM (Blush, Black, Gold, Silver): Lighter weight with structure. Looser weave than Nude A & B but feels stiffer. Good for garments needing subtle support.
-
95 GSM (Nude A, Nude B): Great for nude corsets. Looser weave than Baby Blue but feels stiffer due to construction. A popular mid-weight option.
-
100 GSM (Baby Blue): Ideal for corsets — soft on skin with solid structure.
-
175 GSM (White & Ivory): Stiffest option available. Maximum structure for bridal undergarments and formal gown support.
